Sicario: Day of the Solder Movie develops as a dynamic activity show in its own right. This sequel to Sicario is solid enough in its storytelling, with some inspired elements (as well as some lazy ones). But the special touches that made the original great are glaringly absent. On the surface, it’s still Sicario, but this time it’s for an audience that prefers action over pondering challenging material. Despite the fact that not exactly as mind-blowing as the film that went before it, Sicario: Day of the Soldado film is a damn-fine continuation that distinctions the account work was done by Denis Villeneuve in the primary film and enables Taylor Sheridan to expand on an officially intriguing world.
